How to apply for state-funded hearing aids?To receive a state-funded hearing aid, you must submit the required documents to the Latvian Association of the Deaf (LNS).You can submit your documents:In personBy mail.Electronically in accordance with the regulations for electronic document processing.Via the Latvija.lv portalRequired documents:Written application: The application must include your name, surname, personal identity number (personas kods), residential address, phone number, email address, preferred method of communication, and the specific technical aid you need (application templates are available in the attached files).Doctor's opinion: A statement from your family doctor or a medical specialist confirming the need for a hearing aid, issued no later than six months before submission. Note: If the information on your disability status issued by VDEĀK (State Medical Commission for Assessment of Health and Working Ability) already states that you have hearing impairments, you do not need to submit this doctor's statement.Audiogram: A hearing test result (audiogram) issued within the last year.For more information, visit the LNS website: https://lns.lv/surdotehniskie-paliglidzekli/
